JOHN GLOBUSH May 12, 1929 - April 10, 2004 Peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2004, John Globush passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his parents, Olga Lakas and Andrew Glabush; stepfather John Lakas; sister Jean Mazerall; brother David; sisters-in-law, Jackie and Carol Pleskach; and brother-in-law Fred Kraynyk. John in survived by his loving wife, Violet; son Donald (Deirdre) granddaughters, Maureen, Heather and Michelle; daughter Cindy (Karen) brothers, Steve and Stan (Edna) brothers-in-law, Sterling Mazerall, Joe Pleskach, Stan (Anne) Pleskach, Kasmer (Mary) Pleskach and Larry (Linda) Pleskach; sisters-in-law, Eunice Globush and Florence Kraynyk; and several nephews and nieces. John was born and raised in Prawda, MB before moving to Winnipeg in 1945. He was employed in the garment industry, working in various factories until his retirement in 1986 due to illness. He was also involved with the Amalgamated Clothing and Textiles Union. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly maintaining his property in Birds Hill and spending family time at the trailer at Royal Lake. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as an active member of the East St. Paul Seniors Club. John will be deeply missed by all relatives and friends. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Johns memory to the Corpus Christi RC Church Building Fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
