Offer Condolences or MemoryLIVILIA (LIL) STASIUK (nee NAWOLSKI) Peacefully after a brief illness, on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at St. Boniface Hospital, Livilia (Lil) beloved wife of William Stasiuk. Lil was born on May 15, 1928 in Kamsack, SK. Lil and William were married on July 18, 1953 in Winnipeg, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 18, 2003. During the succeeding years, she worked as an office clerk at several different stores, until her retirement in 1994. Lil was an active member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, and an Associate member of Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. Besides her beloved husband William, Lil leaves to cherish her memory, sister Leona of Vancouver, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in British Columbia and Alberta. Lil was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Victoria Nawolski, her sister Sabina (2002) and her brother Taras (2002). Prayers will be sung 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Special thanks are extended to the nurses and doctors of St. Boniface Hospital 7A South for their care and compassion during very difficult times.
