JOHN CHARTRAND After a lengthy illness, John Chartrand, beloved husband of Gracia Chartrand, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, April 12, 2004. He is survived by his wife Gracia, four sons, Curtis (Linda), Dale, Glen and Darryl (Lana) ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter as well as two brothers, two sisters, his mother-in-law and numerous in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, Ovila and Marcelline Chartrand; four brothers, one sister and his father-in-law. We would like to thank the staff at the Stonewall Hospital for the special care they gave John in his final days. Also, thank you to the home care staff and a special thank you to Dr. Haiart and his nurse Cori. Cremation has taken place and John wished to have a private family service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the cancer society. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
