CYRIL JOHN EVANS It is with sorrow that the family announces the passing of Cyril (Cy) on April 12, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 82 years. Cy is survived by his loving daughter Nancy (Bill) granddaughters, Diana (Gilles) and Katherine (Mark) great-grandchildren, Jesse, Nicole, Luke and Brendon; and brother Herbert (Elvera). He was predeceased by his loving wife Anne in 2001. Cy was born on July 4, 1921 in Shellbrook, SK and came to Winnipeg at the age of three years. He was employed by Modern Dairies and the City of Winnipeg, retiring at the age of 65 years. Cy was a very caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. Interment will be on Friday, April 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at McIvor MB Church, 200 McIvor Ave. with Pastors Doug Enns and John Epp officiating. The family would like to thank the staff on GH3 at the Health Sciences Centre, and a very special thank you to Dr. R. Stimpson for his care and compassion. A heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best. Heartaches in this world are many, but losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, we will miss you more each day, for life will not be the same for us, since youve been called away. We will always remember the way you looked, the way you walked and smiled, all the things you did for us, will be with us all the while.
