Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHAD DANIEL FORSYTH 1991 - 2004 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with Battens Disease, in the arms of his stepmother Nancy Fraser, with his father Ian Forsyth at his side, our beloved son Chad joyfully walked hand in hand with Jesus to his heavenly home, on Easter Sunday morning, April 11, 2004. Chad was born March 10, 1991 in Winnipeg. In June of 1995, Chad was diagnosed with Battens disease. Chad was loved and cherished by his mother Christine Schrot and stepfather Sean Schrot. He shared his life with his sisters, Cydney and Crystal; and brother Dylan. He will be lovingly remembered by his great-grandmother Frances Kozun, grandparents, Al and Julliette Kozun, Vic and Yolanda Forsyth and stepgrandfather Lorne Pruden. He will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins, and all the wonderful caregivers he has had over the years, especially Corrine Parsons. Chad loved to be at the lake, watching his dad water-ski, especially bare-footing. He loved riding in Grandpas big boat. He also loved to hear his dad play guitar and sing to him. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Childrens Hospital for the compassionate care given to Chad. We would also like to thank Chads Hope Committee, who will continue to carry on his legacy through fundraising for the cure for Battens Disease. Prayers for Chad will be offered on Thursday evening, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. A celebration of Chads life will be held with a Mass of Resurrection, Friday, April 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau Ave. E., Transcona, with Fr. Edouard Bonin officiating. Following the service, interment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery, Heatherdale Road (off Garvin Road), Springfield, MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chads Hope Foundation, in care of the Oakbank Credit Union, 444-7200 or visit www.chadshope.com.
