BERNARD ADELARD LAGACE June 16, 1923 - April 11, 2004 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Bernard on Easter Sunday with family at his side. His memory lives on in the lives of his family, his loving wife of 49 years Suzanne (nee Trudeau), his children, Jackie (Paul) Lussier, Maurice Lagace of Calgary and Sylvia (Bob) Hansen; grandchildren, Jean-Claude (Jenifer), Marcel and Jeremy Lussier, Marina and Vincent Lagace and their mother Fran Neuman, Robert and Melissa Hansen; great-grandchildren, Soleil and Chanson Lussier. He is survived by his brother Oscar (Eveline) Lagace of La Salle, MB, sister-in-law Rose Lagace, his extended Trudeau family, numerous nieces and nephews. His father Clovis, his mother Bernadette Lagace and his brother Adelard Lagace predeceased him. Bernard was born in La Salle, MB and farmed there with his wife until 1971. While residing in St. Vital, he was employed at Versatile Farm Implements until his retirement. The family would like to extend a sincere gratitude to all homecare providers including his daily provider Vince. His final days were dignified and peaceful thanks to the due diligence of the staff of 4B at St. Boniface General Hospital. Bernards spiritual needs were satisfied by the attentive visits from Paul Cyr and M. labbe Roland Lanoie. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., with viewing at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be held at Saint-Hyacinthe Roman Catholic Church in La Salle, MB on Thursday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens following the reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bernards memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, phone 787-4143.
