MAY McRAE(nee HUTTON) On Easter Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Grace Hospital after a brief illness, May passed away. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Herb in 1976. She was also predeceased by her brothers, George, Charles (King), John; and sister Agnes. She is survived by her sister Nell English of Winnipeg and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. May was born and raised on a farm in Clanwilliam, MB. She moved to Winnipeg where she worked and retired from the Manitoba Pool Elevators. May and Herb enjoyed travelling to Europe and New Zealand. During Herbs retirement years, they spent their winters in Arizona. May continued to enjoy her winters in Arizona after Herbs death. She always astounded the family by her resilience in driving the long journey (even after 80 years of age). May led a very active and healthy life in which she maintained an immaculate home. May had an innate creativity for design and organization of her home. It allowed her to create a beautiful and inviting environment. She was also very helpful and supportive to family and friends. Her uncompromising pride, determination and achievements will be remembered by all who knew her. The family thanks the staff at the Grace Hospital for their kindness and support during her brief illness. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service for immediate family only will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of May to either the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of ones choice.
