WARREN McCANDLESS On Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Warren McCandless passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Warren is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Lou; sons, Brien (Jane), Mike (Barbara) and Charles (Nancy) grandchildren, Kyla (Curtis), Brianna (Brent), Matthew, Kathleen, Elizabeth Robin, Ethan, Cara and Annaliese (Dennis) and great-grandsons, Trey, Walker and Beckam. Warren was the last of his generation, but leaves many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends, in Canada, Ireland and the UK. He was dearly loved. Warren was born July 2, 1911 at Cara House, Culdaff, County Donegal, Ireland. He and his twin brother Robin were the youngest of eight children. He was educated at Wesley College, Dublin. He brought his family to Canada in 1956. Warren was an avid golfer, winning the City of Derry Captains Prize in 1943. Later in life, Warren enjoyed the company of his children and grandchildren, and was always delighted when they would come to visit. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomsons Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg.
