PETER ELIAS Following a courageous battle against lung cancer, Peter Elias, aged 76, passed away, Friday, April 9, 2004 in Mazatlan, Mexico, with his loving and devoted wife, Helen at his side. Peter was born in the Stanley Municipality, Manitoba. He spent most of his adult life in Winnipeg and following his retirement, moved out to Winnipeg Beach to spend his summers in peace and tranquility with his wife, Helen, his stepson Andre and his beloved dog, Snoopy. Peter, Helen and Snoopy spent their winters by the ocean in their much loved Mazatlan, Mexico, surrounded by their many, many good friends there. Peter leaves behind him, his beloved wife, Helen; his stepson Andre, of whom he was so very proud; his brothers, George, Richard and Abe; his sister, Sarah and a large extended family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was a very, very special person. He was a "Character" who looked upon all people as equals to be treated with respect and consideration. Cremation and a "celebration of his life" have already taken place in Mazatlan, Mexico and a memorial will be held at a later date in Manitoba, for his family and friends in Canada. Rest in Peace, Peter, you were and are my life and my love. I will miss you so much. Your beloved wife and friend, Helen.
