Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMANUEL da COSTA GALANTE July 24, 1934 - April 12, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel da Costa Galante. Manuel passed away peacefully at the age of 69 years on Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was born on July 24, 1934 in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, then immigrated to Canada in 1958. Manuel was predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Maria Isabel Galante; and his eldest sister Luisa. He is survived by his wife Adelia; his sons, Joseph and Carlos (Jennifer) daughter Lorianne (Helder) sisters, Isabel and Conceicao; brothers, Joao (Lorena) and Jose (Odillia) of British Columbia; and nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held on Friday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Entombment to follow in Assumption Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Manuels memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
