Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON LOUIS MYRAN - Kinew Abinoojiihn - EAGLE CHILD - CHILD of the EAGLE With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of "Gordie" into the spirit world on Saturday, April 10, 2004. Named after his late uncle Gordon Clayton, Gordie Louis came into this world on December 27, 1984. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Karen (Brad) of Peguis; his father, Richard Packo (Darlene) of The Pas; sister Dana; brother Jordan; stepsisters, Candace, Robin and Haley; stepbrothers, Desmond, Dallas and Daylan, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, great-aunts and uncles; special friends, Mark Ruml of Winnipeg, Ralph Myran (Jr.) of Long Plain and Andrew Tacan of Sioux Valley. Gordie was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louis and Louise Myran; paternal grandparents, Boniface and Flora Packo; uncles, Gordon Clayton Myran, Harold, Allan and Paul Packo. Gordie was a very quiet and gentle person, who enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He knew he held a special place in the hearts of all of his aunts and uncles of Long Plain. They all shared in his upbringing and as a result, always returned home to his aunt Dorothys house. He had to endure the lectures and the teasing from his uncles and he could not resist auntie Dorothys home cooking. He knew that he was surrounded by family who consistently displayed their unconditional love for him. Throughout the 19 years that Gordie was with us, he maintained a quiet reserve. No one really knew what he was thinking; we missed the signs that he had encountered turbulent times in his life. Gordie will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched, however we feel comfort in knowing that Gordie is now with the grandparents that he truly missed here on earth. He is now embraced in their arms and resting peacefully. His weary journey here on earth has ended. The family would like to thank all the family and friends that have come forward to join us in our time of sorrow and need. Your presence has brought us much needed comfort and will always be appreciated. Wake will be at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Wednesday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Thursday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU, GORDIE! WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Gordie by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements.
