Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND WILLIAM HERNTIER After a lengthy illness, Ray passed away on April 14, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 66 years. Ray was born on July 22, 1937, the second son of John and Elizabeth Herntier of Whitemouth. Ray married Gracia Chartrand in 1959. During their 24 year marriage, together they established and operated Camperville Taxi and later expanded their business to include a hunting/fishing lodge and Rockin H Ranch. Grace passed away in 2002. From this marriage there are five children: Sterling (Carol) and Tony (Ana) of Winnipeg, Laurie (Winston) Ledoux of Flin Flon, Ted and Murray of Winnipeg. Ray also has four children from a second relationship: Jon, Tanya, Greg, of Winnipeg and Arron, currently of Flin Flon. These children provided Ray with the opportunity to show his skills as a parent, cook and homemaker at which he was very proficient. Ray was very proud of his nine children and 12 grandchildren. His final wish was that they all honour his memory by conducting themselves in a manner which would make them proud of themselves. Ray is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Pat) of Minneapolis and Dennis (Rita) of LaRiviere and their families. The family would also like to acknowledge Rays oldest and dearest friend of 50 years, Eric Curnew; Wally Starr, Rays best friend, who he frequently introduced to others as his brother, and Irene Rach who shared many pots of coffee and countless hours of conversation. Cremation has taken place. Rays remains will be laid to rest at Whitemouth Cemetery on Friday, April 23 at 12:30 p.m. Friends wishing to honour Rays memory may direct donations to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
