BERNICE CHERWINSKI (nee KASPRICK) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernice Cherwinski. She peacefully lost her battle with Alzheimers on April 12, 2004 at aged 69. Bernice will be dearly missed by her husband Charlie; daughter Arlene (Rob) and granddaughter Pamela. She leaves her sisters, Elsie (Steve), Verla (Eugene) Phyllis; and her brothers, Ken (Faye), Vern (Sharon) and Bernard (Betty) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many family friends. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Victoria and Thomas Kasprick. She was born and raised in Polonia, MB. As a young woman she moved to Winnipeg to work. During that time she met Charlie and married, and together they raised one daughter Arlene. Bernice loved to socialize with friends and family. Music and laughter were always a part of her life. She had a love for the cottage at Bird Lake and a passion for travel. When Arlene moved to Vancouver she enjoyed many visits, especially when her granddaughter Pamela was born. A wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a kind, sincere, and generous person to her family and friends, Bernice will be sadly missed. Bernices family wishes to thank Dr. Haligowski and the staff at River East Personal Care Home who provided loving care to her over the years. Cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held at a future date. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers society or a charity of your choice.
