IVY CELIA SCARR (HILL) December 8, 1912 - April 18, 2004 After a short illness, Ivy Celia Scarr, nee Hill, beloved wife of Stanley Scarr, passed away at Oakview Place. Ivy was born in Abergavenny, Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1926 with her parents and siblings. Ivy is survived by her loving husband of 73 years Stan; one son Stanley (Lorraine) three daughters, Bernice Parbery (Gordon), Barbara Picken (Bob), Diane (Becker) Brown (Jack) eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Joan Harris; and three brothers, Derek Hill, Dennis Hill (Alice), and Bernard Hill (Dora). Ivy was predeceased by her father Rowland Hill (1933) her mother Celia Hill (1990) two brothers, Alfred and Edward; and two sisters, Grace (Adams) McDowell and Vera Saunders. According to Ivys wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations can be made in Ivys memory to a charity of ones choice. Many thanks to the nurses and staff of third floor north, Oakview Place for the care and compassion shown to Mom during her short stay there. "Rest in peace, Mom. We love you.
