DOROTHY (DOT) McKNIGHT Peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital, with her family by her side, Dot (Dorothy) McKnight passed away at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn her daughter Pat (Larry) Schaeffer; son Claude (Jane) McKnight; daughter-in-law Bernice McKnight (Reg). She leaves her six grandchildren, Cheryl (Jay), Dawn (Jamie), Murray (Cindy), Robyn (Derek), Carla (Ricardo), Jason (Laurel) her eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Edna (Lloyd) Fines, Shirley Zwarych; brother Buck (Emmy) Campbell and sister-in-law Marcella McKnight and also several nieces and nephews. Mum was born March 9, 1920 in Greenwood area. She married our Dad, Bill, on October 11, 1941. They resided in the Balmoral area all their lives. She was presently living in Sprucewood Place, Balmoral. She had been a member of the Balmoral Hunter Hospital Auxiliary since 1959 serving many positions. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1982; her parents, Gordon and Anne Campbell and also by an infant child in 1957. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 23 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Interment will take place at Victoria Cemetery, Balmoral. Active Pallbearers will be Cheryl and Jay; Dawn and Jamie; Murray and Cindy; Robyn and Derek; Carla and Ricardo; Jason and Laurel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joyce Williams, Cecil and Shirley Payne, and all the residents of Sprucewood Place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dots memory to the Cancer Foundation or to the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
