EDWIN "ED" FOOT March 5, 1924 - April 21, 2004 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Edwin Foot, on Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the Victoria General Hospital. Ed was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Richard of England and Jim; sister Lillian; and son-in-law Fred Gullen. Ed will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 58 years, Rita; his daughters, Sharon (Dr. Gordon) Kasian of Saskatoon, SK, Lynda Gullen and Beverley (Jerald) Kulbaba; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Ed served his country during the Second World War, through the Royal Canadian Air Force. After his discharge, he found employment with CNR where he worked for 43 years up until his retirement in 1984. During his retirement, he spent his time "puttering" around his yard, helping his daughters and spending time at Albert Beach, enjoying family. Ed was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish and the Transcona Food Bank. Eds sense of humour never left him during his illness and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Stanley Ing and the 5th floor nursing staff of the Victoria General Hospital. Prayers will be said for Ed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau E., Transcona, on April 23. A private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
