DANIEL ERNEST BRADFORD Peacefully, on February 1, 2004 at the Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, Winnipeg, Manitoba Daniel Ernest Bradford of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 78 years. A celebration of life will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jean Bryden officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Daniel was born on May 2, 1925 in Portage la Prairie. He was raised in rural Portage. When he was 17 he joined the Navy. After his discharge he worked at Southport for a number of years before moving to Winnipeg to work at the University of Manitoba until his retirement. In 2000 he became a resident at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa. Predeceased by his two brothers, Jack (Eileen) and Henry (Lyoda) Bradford; two sisters, Zola Atkin and Eileen (Edgar) Switzer; he leaves to mourn his passing several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his niece Marion (Buck) Knott, their son Dale (Debbie) Knott and their daughter Laurie (Jeff) Pauls. Also he will be missed by his longtime friend Peter Krywenky. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, Ward 2 for the special care Uncle Dan received during his stay, and especially during the last few weeks when he was ill. Also we would like to say a special thanks to Ernie Dyck for his many hours of song to Uncle Dan.
