Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT WILLIAM CHAPMAN It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bill Chapman, on April 22, 2004, at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Georgena; his sons, Lorne (Barb) and Donnie (Roseanne) his daughters, Beverly Chapman-Park, Brenda and Charlene (Don Dowland) his nine grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer (Carlos Lopez), Jordon Park (Erin) Scott Chapman (Erin), Mark Chapman; Boyd, Rochelle and Holly Chapman; Kyle and Kevin Dowland; his five great-grandchildren, Zaya and Jade Lopez, Aubrie Park, Danielle and Dane Chapman; brothers, Herb (Doreen) of Edmonton, Jack (Diane) of Boyle, AB; his sister Jean Wyman of Vancouver. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary; sisters, Mary Ann, Marge, Grace, Eleanor; brothers, Ingram and Sam. Dad was born on the family farm in Spy Hill, SK, on May 27, 1926. In 1945, he joined the Armed Forces and was honourably discharged in 1946. He married Mom on November 2, 1949. In order to achieve his dream of owning a farm, Dad worked north on the Dew Line as a Heavy Equipment Operator from 1957 to 1959. In 1960, his dream was fulfilled when he purchased the family farm at Winnipeg Beach, which was where he and Mom were semi-retired at the time of his passing. Farming was Dads way of life and his love for the land and his cattle was apparent to all that knew him. Over the years, Dad and Mom took great pride in harvesting many successful crops and raising fine quality dairy cattle. Dad had a strong will to succeed and, with hard work and determination, he did so. In his own quiet way, he instilled this in his children. Dad was a very proud man who took great pride in doing things right. Now there is an emptiness in our hearts, but your memory will live on in all of us. We love you Dad and will miss you dearly. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Dads memory can be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, MB, with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Dads memory will be honoured by having his six grandsons - Jordon, Scott, Mark, Boyd, Kyle and Kevin - as pallbearers. Dad will be laid to rest in the family cemetery at Spy Hill on Wednesday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. Rest in Peace, Dad MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
