DONALD ALLAN EMMS Donald Allan Emms, aged 91 years, passed away peacefully after a short illness in Selkirk Hospital on April 23, 2004. Donald was born February 13, 1913 and lived in Ideal, MB all his life until moving to Lundar Personal Care Home about four years ago. He married his wife Ada (nee Green) on July 29, 1940 and together they raised five children. He farmed with Ada and his son Donny. He loved to pull jokes on anyone, going to auction sales, hunting, company and telling stories. He loved animals, especially horses and dogs. Leaving to mourn Donalds passing his five children, Ellen Cowie (Robert) of Oak Point, Joyce McKnight (Bill) of Oak Point, Ruth Cranstone (Jack) of Oak Bank, Gail Perreault (Lyle) of Ideal, Donald Jr. (Heather) of Ideal; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. He is survived by brothers, Alfred (Pearl), Arthur (Lavina), Bert (Doreen) sisters, May Green, Sarah Scharf; sister-in-law Jessie Emms; brother-in-law Clarke Mills. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Catherine Emms; brothers, Ernest, David, Eddie and George; sisters, Ida Zebrasky and Anne Mills. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Inwood Community Hall. Rev. John Stennett will officiate with interment to follow at Inwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bob Cowie Jr., Dan, Tim, Glen McKnight, Martin and Joseph Perreault. Special thanks to the ladies in the Lundar Care Home whom he loved to tease and joke with. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lundar Personal Care Home Fund. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
