ARTHUR KUNZELMAN It is with great sadness that the family announces that on April 22, 2004 after a brave fight with cancer, Arthur Kunzelman passed away at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital with all his family by his side. Surviving to mourn his loss, his wife Vivian of 41 years; two sons, Lorne and Darren and one daughter Charlotte (Doug) and two grandchildren, Ian and Melinda; his sister Frieda and his brother Russell (Rhoda) mother-in-law Dorothy Hazelton, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his Dad, John; mother Flossie; sisters, Florence and Sylvia; brothers, Donnie and Buddy; brothers-in-law, Nels and Bert and father-in-law Herbert Hazelton. Arthur was born on August 14, 1933 in the house in Inwood that his father built and his mother lived in for many years. He built a house in the same yard and farmed there his whole life. He was a man that friends, family and neighbours could always count on for a helping hand without any questions asked. He was the kindness man that anyone ever met. Arthur was an avid deer hunter who never missed a hunting season. Last November he managed to bag his biggest buck ever. Arthur was happiest when he was out on his tractor cutting hay on Shoal Lake or working in the field. He always liked the look of a well worked field no matter whose it was. Farming and family were the two most important things in his life. His idea of a day off would be going to an auction sale or a cattle show somewhere. He took over the family farm at a very young age when his brothers left to get married and build a farm of their own. Arthur took pride in his farming and was especially happy that his boys took over the family farm. One of Arthurs greatest joys was picking out three 4-H calves for his kids. Raising the calves from babies up to champions and then in June watching his kids show them in Stonewall on fair day was a great accomplishment in his life. He was very proud of his childrens accomplishments, Lorne and Darren in the farm they have helped him build and Charlotte for securing a job with the government where she has worked since high school. He was also proud of his son-in-law, Doug for his accomplishments in securing a good family life for her and his grandchildren. Arthur took great enjoyment from his grandchildren, Ian and Melinda. He would wait for his "buddies" to come so he could take them out on the four wheeler for a ride to tour the fields. Active pallbearers are his nephews, Don Kunzelman, Keith Kunzelman, Clayton Kunzelman, John McMahon, Brian McMahon and Alvin Jorheim. Honorary pallbearers are his friends, Jim Kemp, Bruce Moore, Larry Torske, Norman Moore, Allan Coverdale and Eskel Brurok. The family would like to thank Dr. Graham and all the nursing staff of Teulon Hospital for all their help and support. Funeral services honouring Arthurs life will be on Tuesday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Inwood Hall, Inwood, MB. Interment will follow at Inwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital in his memory. "We love you Dad and miss you, but you will be with us always and forever." MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
