HELEN CORA LINNERT After a long and full life, Helen died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Helen was born May 15, 1913. She was raised in Old Pinawa and later moved to the town of Lac du Bonnet. Her life was her family. She cherished the 57 years she spent with her husband Erwin. She loved to tell stories of the old days and her family will miss that. Helen was predeceased by her husband Erwin; her parents, Karl and Agnethe Haugen; and her only sister Ingrid. She is survived by her niece Dallas (Hugh), Kelly (Cam), Keith, Kyle, Craig and family friend Jake Friesen. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Lac du Bonnet with Rev. Glenn Krentz officiating. Friends may view one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Riverland Cemetery. The family appreciates the kindness and care provided by the staff at the Rose Unit of the East Gate Lodge, where she spent her final days. Special thanks to Carol Nilsson for all her care and support and to Amy and Phyliss Deneve for being there in her time of need.
