Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORPORAL FREDERICK WILLIAM "BILL" DEXTER (Retired R.C.M.Police) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) Dexter, on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Winnipeg. Though only 57 years old, Bill had managed to pack 99 years of activity and adventure into his lifetime. With an "all or nothing" sense of spirit he sought out new opportunities and tackled them with a passion and energy surpassed by few. Be it scuba diving, hockey, home renovations, computers or camping - he jumped into each project full force. Bills career began with the RCMP as stationed in Beausejour, Mb. and included postings in Grand Beach and Winnipeg. In 1973 he joined the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and enjoyed postings in Vancouver, Ottawa, India and Winnipeg. Following a brief retirement, he began his current position as Director of Native Gaming with the Province of Manitoba. Left with many wonderful memories to cherish, are his wife and best friend Barb, of 35 years of marriage; son Sean (Julie) daughter Heather; sisters, Betty and Pat; and also many nieces, nephews and friends. "Bubba" will surely be missed by his grandson and slurpee-partner, Aidan. Bill was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary Dexter. On Tuesday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m., Bills funeral service will be held in Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Beausejour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, Mb. R3C OS6.
