DOROTHY ELIZABETH CHURNEY Peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Concordia Hospital, Dorothy Churney, our beloved mother, passed away at age 82 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Bill of 49 years; her mother, father, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her son Fred Churney (wife Linda) daughter Gloria Summers; four grandchildren, Allan Churney (wife Lara), Cheryl Churney, Will Summers (wife Michelle), Tammy Summers (partner Mike) six great-grandchildren, Joseph, Karissa, Haley, Seth, Samantha and Ethan. Also left to mourn are her two brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. I Mohammed and hospital staff, the Home Care services and all the staff at day hospital on Goulet for all their loving care. In tears we saw her sinking And no cure could we see No pain, no suffering, was The only way it should be. Friends are invited to attend a visitation this evening, April 28 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor John Friesen on Thursday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden of Devotion, Green Acres Cemetery.
