MICHAEL KNYSH Peacefully, in his sleep in the early hours of April 25, 2004, Michael passed away. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean of almost 54 years; daughter Pamela (Bryan) grandchildren, Jordan and Delaney; and one brother Stephen (Janice). He was predeceased by his infant son Dennis; and his parents, Harry and Katherine Knysh. Michael was born in Narol, MB on August 25, 1921. During his early years his fathers job with the railway took them to a few small towns, settling in Gardenton, MB, where he first met Jean. Michael moved back to Winnipeg to finish his education and shortly after he joined the RCAF and spent three years overseas during the Second World War. Michael worked in construction for 40 years, the last 26 with Supercrete before retiring in 1988. His lifelong love for sports and the outdoors began with hunting, fishing, baseball and hockey, and continued later in life with bowling and golfing. Michael loved to travel and he and Jean went on many fun-filled adventures. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it be fixing a piece of machinery, building a house or just spending time with his grandchildren. We were all truly blessed by having such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main St. with Very Rev. Fr. H. Lakusta officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. REST IN PEACE CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
