Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDR. RICHMOND JAMES LEE Dr. Richmond James Lee passed away suddenly of a heart attack on April 8, 2004 at the age of 67. Richmond was born in Winnipeg, MB to Harry and Florence Lee, who were originally from British Columbia. He received his secondary education at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, winning the Governor Generals Medal. He completed his University and Medical School training at the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1963 and then continuing with one year of Internal Medicine. Richmond married Jean Riddell of Minnedosa in July, 1965 and then did General Practice in Longlac and Wawa, ON for four years, returning to Winnipeg to complete a further three years of post-graduate studies in Anesthesiology. They moved to Trail, BC in 1973 with their two sons, where Richmond practiced Anesthesiology. Predeceased by his brothers, Gilbert and Robert; his parents, and his brother-in-law James Dare, he is survived by Jean of Trail and their sons, Christopher and Trevor and their families; sister Rose Dare of Vancouver; two brothers in Winnipeg, Gordon (Pearl) and Tommy (SuFay) sister-in-law Betty Lee of Minnedosa and many nieces and nephews. Richmond will be sadly missed by his family and friends in Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Neil Bardal Funeral Home Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (the Aubrey Street entrance), Winnipeg, MB with Pastor John Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Should friends desire, donations in Richmonds name may be made to a charity of their choice.
