LOUISE ALICE YOUNG Peacefully on April 24, 2004, Louise Alice Young went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Born on July 13, 1937, she was 66 years of age. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne (John U.) nephews, Ian, Darren (Sandy) nieces, Eleanor, Mairianna (Michael) and six great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her adoptive family, Hessel (Rhoda), Hendrik (Kathy), Jake (Pat), Albert (Lorraine) Dethmers and their families. Louise was an active member of Broadway-First Baptist Church and appreciated all the kindnesses and love showered upon her by her church family. She also was an active member of the Quota International Club of Winnipeg and appreciated all the kindnesses shown by the members. In her youth, she was a member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade and received the Order of St. John in Ottawa. She worked for 40 years for Bristol Aerospace Limited and for five years as a part-time clerk in the Mini Market grocery store in Lions Place, where she resided for the last nine years. A private interment will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Broadway-First Baptist Church, 790 Honeyman Ave. A reception will follow. Flowers gratefully declined. Charitable donations may be made to Broadway-First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Fund, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9 or to a charity of choice.
