Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT OLIVER CAMPBELL (BOB) Bob went to be with his Lord and Saviour peacefully at home on April 26, 2004, after his short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jean; his children, Scott (Deana) Campbell, Dr. Neil Campbell, and Beth (Travis) Teichrib; granddaughters, Haley and Chloe; brothers Bill and Ron (Fran) and sister-in-law Isabel; as well as his sister-in-law and husband Eileen and Ben Bornn. He was predeceased by his brother Ward (1994) and his sister-in-law Dr. Chris Carrier (2003). Bob was born August 7, 1939 in Winnipeg, MB. He attended Winnipeg Bible College and later attended Manitoba Institute of Technology studying electronics and communications. He worked in Northern Manitoba for MTS and then for Manitoba Hydro, later settling in Dugald. While working up north he was actively involved in Continental Mission. After retiring from the Manitoba Hydro he went to work full time at Union Gospel Mission. As Executive Director he described his work at UGM as everything from brooms to bibles. Bob loved to spend time camping with his family, playing with his grandchildren and restoring cars. He was an active and long-standing member of Anola Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the many lives he touched along the way. Viewing will be at Transcona Funeral Chapel on April 28 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at Oakbank Baptist Church on April 29 at 1:00 p.m. Internment and reception to follow.
