BRUCE MAYER Inspector - RCMP In Ottawa, Saturday, April 24, 2004 God saw him getting tired after a 20 year battle with Pure Red Cell Aplasia ended his struggle. Loving and devoted husband of Sandra. Fondly remembered by his greatest joys, son Brent and daughter Karen. Sadly missed by beloved pets, Smokey and Bandit, fellow members and friends. He was born in Regina and grew up in Swift Current, SK. He joined the RCMP in 1971 and served in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Manitoba and Ontario. He will be remembered for being a great dad. One of his great joys was travelling in his motor home with his family. Special thanks to Dr. L Huebsch, Dr. J. Block, Dr. Bence-Brooker, Alanna and the 5th floor staff at the Ottawa General Campus. Friends may pay respects at a Service in Memory of Bruce, Wednesday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3000 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa. In Bruces memory please donate blood when you can as there are many others who need this gift of life. respects@kellyfh.ca. Kelly Funeral Homes, (613)235-6712.
