MARIA (MARGARET) HURRIE (nee REWNIAK) After a brief illness, Mom passed away at the age of 73, peacefully, with her children by her side on Monday, April 26, 2004. She leaves to mourn her passing, six children and seven grandchildren, Ron (Darlene), Tiffany; Alvin (Linda), Crystal and Shawn; Terry (Angie), Amanda and Travis; Claudia (Phil) Lorraine and Chris (Lynn), Britney and Taylor. She also leaves to mourn her two stepchildren, Bonnie and Barry (Sandy) two step-grandchildren, Kurtis and Kaitlyn. She also leaves behind four sisters and six brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; her parents, Anne and Nick; infant sister Olga; brothers, David and Walter. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Special thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. Thanks to all our friends and relatives for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
