Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES GORDON MARSHALL Peacefully, with family by his side, Charlie passed away at Tuxedo Villa on April 27, 2004. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eileen; and sons, Gordon, Phillip (Caroline), all of Vancouver, and David (Dianne) of Winnipeg. He was a loving Grandpa to Jeffrey, Scott, Andrea, Alison, Emily, Amy and Austin. Charlie was born January 2, 1916 on his parents farm in Herschel, SK. Eileen and Charlie met in Outlook, SK and were married in Saskatoon on May 2, 1944. An avid musician, "Marshalls Swing Band" played the dance circuit in rural Saskatchewan for many years. His love for music was passed along to his children and grandchildren. Charlie worked with Westfair Foods for nearly 50 years in many capacities in Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Calgary and ultimately at the head office then situated in Winnipeg. Despite his many relocations, he maintained his sense of "Rider Pride". Charlie always made time for his grandchildren whether rocking them to sleep or taking an interest in their activities. Charlie will be remembered as both a gentleman and a gentle man. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Rosewood Village and Tuxedo Villa for their care of Charlie since 1999. A private service will be held by the family. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Charlies memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
