CHARLES WAGNER Peacefully, on March 31, 2004, at the Mewburn Veterans Centre in Edmonton, AB, Charles passed away at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Anne; his son, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth. He was a loving and caring grandfather to Tannis Rasmusson (Jonathan), Gregory, and Lesley (fiance Adam Chalkley) and took pride in their accomplishments. He also had the pleasure of experiencing the arrival of two great-grandchildren, Lucas Jonathan and Rowan Charles. He is also survived by his sisters Lydia Brun and Marie Lee (George). Predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Anna; his brothers, Fred, David and Alec and his sisters Molly and Katie. Chuck was born and lived his life in Winnipeg. He spent almost 30 years in the taxi business as an owner-operator. He enjoyed sports throughout his life, having a passion for baseball as a young man. He also curled and even took up golf in his senior years. He looked forward to the golf outings with his son. Chuck was happiest when surrounded by family. He was a giving person who instilled a strong sense of values in those he touched. In addition to his immediate family, he was also a cherished son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. We will all miss him. We would like to thank the staff at the Mewburn Veterans Centre for their compassionate and excellent care over the past five months. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Chapel, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
