MARGUERITE (PEGGY) ROBERTS (nee BETTS) Sadly, on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre, Mom slipped away peacefully at the age of 89 years. Mom was born March 11, 1915 and lived a very productive life. Raising two sons, working at St. Boniface Hospital and then in the food service industry. She loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much joy. She used to love going to the lake when she was still well. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Norwood Branch and loved to meet her friends there. She loved playing bingo at the legion and also at the nursing home with the friends she made there. Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert Roberts in 1964 and her son Bobby Roberts in 1978. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Tom; daughter-in-law Jo-Anne; grandchildren, Keith (wife Debbie) and Kim; her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brittany, Paige and Jesse. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of CD1 at Riverview Health Centre and especially Crystal her primary nurse, also Maureen the activities director and Cliff a volunteer who could always bring a smile to her face. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. with The Rev. Brian Flower officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date in St. Vital Cemetery.
