KONSTANTIN PASESCHNIKOFF SR. May 26, 1919 - April 28, 2004 It is with immensely sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing away of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather in his home. Konstantin was born in Russia on May 26, 1919. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Nina of almost 60 years; his eldest son Walter (Guadalupe) daughter Julia (Edward) son Sergei (Marianne) and youngest son Konstantin Jr. (Julie). He will also be missed by his 11 grandchildren, Vladimir Jr., Tatiana, Anita, Sofia, Angelica, Larissa, Andre, Katarina, Taisa, Daniel and Gregori. Konstantin and Nina were married July 17, 1944 in Austria where he bravely fought in the Second World War and where their two eldest children were born. In 1948 they moved to Venezuela where they had their third child. There they raised cattle, bees and sold produce at local markets for 17 years. In 1965 Konstantin, Nina and their three children immigrated to Canada and shortly after they were blessed with their fourth child. Konstantin became employed at Motorcoach Industries where he was a dedicated employee for many years until he retired. He lived out his final years living and working on his vegetable farm in Oak Bluff, MB, where he sold his local produce. He loved caring for and tending to his animals, reading and writing poetry, travelling and enjoying the company of his family whom were his true pride and joy. Konstantin was a quiet, kind, brave and hardworking man who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. He will be in our hearts forever. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 1 at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, 732 Alfred Ave. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Oak Bluff Cemetery.
