THERESE (TERRY) BRISSON (NAULT)
Born: Apr 15, 1915
Date of Passing: Apr 27, 2004
Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE (TERRY) BRISSON (nee NAULT) April 15, 1915 - April 27, 2004 Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, following a brief illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grand-mere, great-grandmother and friend. Leaving to forever cherish Thereses memory are her daughters, Mona, Leone Kelsch (Albert) and Janine; brother Antoine Nault; as well as one brother-in-law; and several sisters-in-law. Grand-mere will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Nathan and Amanda Balzer, Dylan Balzer and Liette Kelsch; great-grandson Xavier Balzer; and surrogate daughters, Shirley Morgan and Monique Wallbank. She was greatly admired and loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Therese was predeceased by her husband Edouard, in 1974; as well as by numerous family members. Maman was born in St. Pierre Jolys, MB and married Edouard September 2, 1946. They raised their family in St. Boniface. Throughout the years, Terry worked at the St. Boniface Hospital and later at McCullough Drugs where she retired at the age of 68 years. She greatly enjoyed the friendships she developed while being employed. Mom will be remembered as an ageless, self-taught, talented, vibrant woman who loved life. She was a liberal thinker with an inquisitive mind. Her avid love of reading was fuelled by her deep interest in history. Moms devotion to her family was often expressed through her delicious cooking and baking. We already miss her pancakes, prune cake, stew and chicken potpie. Her genuine kindness and wonderful sense of humour were a testimony to her strength and integrity. Therese was never happier, than at her beloved Victoria Beach, surrounded by her family. She spent numerous summers playing card games, strolling peacefully on the beach and always listening for the songs of her beloved Whippoorwill. Chaleureuse, genereuse, devouee, joyeuse, extremement independante et toujours courageuse, tu demeureras infiniment une inspiration pour nous tous. On taimera toujours, notre belle maman. According to Moms wishes a private inurnment has taken place. A celebration of Thereses life will be held in her honour at a later date, at which time family and friends will be notified. Our family would like to extend special thanks to the Emergency and Family Medicine, 6A South Staff, of the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital & Research Foundation, Palliative Care, Room D1003, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Terry was a wonderful friend and human being. She touched my life with her kindness and made the world a better place. I will always feel so fortunate and cherish having known her, and her family, who was so kind to me also. My sincerest sympathies.
