YVONNE MacDONALD (ASSAILLY) It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful but sudden passing of their beloved wife and mother, Yvonne on April 28, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. She leaves to mourn, her husband George; and their two sons, Grant and Todd. Her memory will also be cherished by her numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Yvonne was the last survivor of Eugene and Virginie Assaillys children. She was born on November 3, 1929 in Laurier, where she resided till 1948. She then taught school one year in Toutes Aides. She moved and worked in St. Jerome, QC for three and a half years. She returned and resided in Winnipeg, where she met and married George MacDonald in 1962. Yvonne worked for CBC for five years, then worked the Opera-Ballet as wardrobe supervisor for about 20 years. The family was very important to Yvonne. She had an infectious laugh and a generous heart. She will be missed by many. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Yvonnes name to the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
