KAY (KATY) BARTA (nee KUNTZ) It is with great sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Kay Barta, aged 79 years, on Friday, April 30, 2004 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg with her family by her side. Kay was predeceased by her parents and her brother John. Kay is survived by one son Roy (Peggy) Barta; three daughters, MaryAnne (Don) Prokopsky, Valerie Kulczycki and Sharon (Lawrence) Kulczycki; four grandsons, Cory, Neil, Kelly, Bradley; and one great-grandson Kaleb. She is also survived by two sisters and four brothers. Mom had a beautiful smile for everyone and would never turn away someone in need. She was an avid reader and loved visiting with her grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for the care and compassion given to Kay during her stay. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
