I met Chip as a young man joining the Canadian Westinghouse Company. He was my foreman in charge of the warehouse. For some reason Chip decided to take me under his wing and mentor and make me part of the man I am today. He taught me how to play poker. Cautioned me never to bet when fellow worker Steve was dealing Kings and Little Ones. Taught me how to fish for the pickerel “greenbacks“ up at the Manigotagan River. A car load of us would pitch a tent and get up after a hard night of party at the local hotel owned and operated by the Howard’s! We would often close the hotel and continue in back singing Irish Rebel songs. Chip was a “broth of a man“ and I saw him as a father figure that I never had! He taught me many of life’s worthy lessons. I moved on and away, getting married and having 8 kids of my own. I’m into major family research now and ran across his obit. Thank you Chip for being my friend! Allen (Al) Fenton - Posted by: Allen Fenton (Friend) on: Jan 07, 2020
