HERTHA MARIE CHRISTINE JAEKEL 1928 - 2004 With great sadness, on April 28, 2004, we lost our beloved Wife, Mother, Oma. She left us suddenly, peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her home, surroundOur hearts are breaking with grief, you were taken too soon, and we will miss everything about you. Each time we see a flower bloom we will see your smile. Each time we plant a seed; we will remember your love. Each picture of you will remind us of your laughter, your love and your kind and giving ways. We will always love you. Hertha was born in Germany and came to Canada with her husband Wilhelm and daughter Doris in 1956. They moved to Winnipeg in 1961. She was predeceased by nine brothers and one sister. Hertha is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wilhelm; her daughter Doris Jaekel; her son Harold Jaekel; daughter-in-law Lorelei Jaekel and by her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mathew Jaekel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Place Chapel, 1000 Molson Street in Winnipeg, MB. Chaplain John Friesen will preside over the services.
