ESTHER PEARL KISSICK (SCHELLENBERG)

ESTHER PEARL KISSICK (SCHELLENBERG) Esther was born to Henry and Gertrude on January 31, 1929, the first of three daughters. As her father was a teacher the family moved several times before her fathers death in 1946. Esther took her teachers training and taught for a while in Manitoba and after Bible College she went to Kenya as a missionary teacher in 1957. She returned and in 1970 she and Bill Kissick were married and she settled into farming life. Bills daughter Roberta became her dear daughter and in time two special grandchildren came along. Esther was predeceased by her father in 1946, her mother in 1985, and her youngest sister Joyce in 1966, and her husband in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Roberta; and grandchildren, Shawn and Tara; and one sister Leona and other family members. Esther died at the Trialake Health Centre, Killarney on April 24, 2004. Service of remembrance was held at the Lakeview Community Church on Monday, April 26, 2004. Donations in Esthers memory may be made to the Cancer Society or to the Canadian Sunday School Mission. Killarney Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
