Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUSTINE ROSE MARIE (nee WILCOTT) MARTEL Augustine Rose Marie (nee Wilcott) Martel was born on February 9, 1910 in Fabre, QC. She passed away peaceably at Tache Centre in St. Boniface, MB on April 29, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Elie on September 7, 1994; sons Leo on July 1, 1980 and Jules on September 5, 1994; grandsons Blair Foss and Denis Martel; sons-in-law Ed Pompo, Ken Kobi as well as four brothers, three sisters and three great grand-daughters. Augustine is survived by: daughters; Juliette Pompo, Yvette Waite (Bill) of Kelowna, BC; Lillian Bouchard, Sylvia Clark (Ian) of Winnipeg, MB; Aline Foss (Art) of Morinville, AB; Dorothy Kobi of St. Albert, AB; Lucille St. Croix (Louis) of St. Georges, MB; as well as 26 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, family and friends. Augustine was happiest when among her family and friends and will be lovingly remembered for her hearty laugh, tenacity for life, unique sense of humour and giving heart. Services will be held at St. Georges Parish, St. Georges, MB, on Monday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m.; celebrant Father Rejean Belanger, co-celebrant Father Carl Tarnopolski, Vicar General; cremation to follow. Internment will take place on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., St. Georges Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jules Bouchard, Gilbert Bouchard, Irene Hipfner, Bruce Waite, Carrie Foss, Rene St. Croix, and Melissa Balness. The family wishes to thank the staff at Tache Centre, who endearingly referred to Augustine as "Their Little Peanut," for providing such exceptional care...
