RUDY WETYK Peacefully, on April 29, 2004 at the Concordia Hospital, in the company of his family, Rudy Wetyk, late of Winnipeg, passed away at age 72 years. Rudy was born in Ethelbert, MB on March 12, 1932 and grew up on a farm in the Kulish district. He joined the Air Force in 1951, and during his career he served on many bases, including tours in 3 Wing Zweibrucken, Germany, 1 Wing Marville, France and Ismailiyk, Egypt. Rudy was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in the Duck Mountains where he grew up. He had a life long love of music and spent many hours playing his guitars. He leaves behind his wife Noreen (nee Horbatuk) with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and his three children, Rhonda (Ross), Curtis (Gloria) and Brian. He is also survived by his sisters, Nadia, Marie, Jean; a brother Sydney; his six grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan, Laura, Lindsay, Sarah and Sam; and Oscar the cat, will also miss him. A simple ceremony will be held on Monday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street with Pastor Kathleen Remple-Boschmann officiating. Following the service, there will be a tea gathering held in the Springfield Room. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Concordia Foundation, as the staff there have our heartfelt thanks.
