Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR HORODYNSKI October 17, 1947 - May 1, 2004 Peacefully, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer Victor passed away on May 1, 2004, at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 56 years. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 31 years, Donna; his daughter Jeannette (Robert) Duguay; son Jason (friend Elizabeth), son Justin and grandson Joshua; his mother Wanda Horodynski; mother-in-law Helen Bialas; sisters, Donna Krowiak, Mary Wojciechowski, Elizabeth (Richard) Halabus, Celina (Bill) Thater, Ann (Robert) Schaffer, Valentine (Paul) Szun; sisters-in-law, Mary (Wayne) Haddad, Regina (Mike) Kobewka; brother-in-law John Bialas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Victor was predeceased in 1987 by his father Michael Horodynski and in 1997 by his father-in-law Peter Bialas. Victor was born October 17, 1947, immigrated to Canada in 1964 from Lubaczow, Poland. He loved to play and coach soccer, to fish on his boat and tinker with cars. Vic remained a devoted husband, father and grandfather who looked forward to spending time with his family. He was always there with a helping hand. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff on E3 at the Riverview Health Centre and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba for their care and compassion. He did not walk this painful journey alone as his hands were held tight by many. For the millions of kindnesses the family is eternally gratefully. Best friend, loving husband, wonderful father, you followed the light now youre at peace. We will always love you. Death ends a life, not a relationship. You will live on in our hearts.
