META KAROLINA BODNER Meta Karolina Bodner, born September 13, 1932 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, passed away on May 1, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Meta came to Canada in 1961 with her husband Michael Bodner and her daughter Naomi. Michael predeceased her December 19, 2001. He was her lifetime partner in love, work and service to Jehovah. She was also predeceased by his sister, Ida van Eijk and her mother and father. Those who survive her will think of Meta often and lovingly, daughter Naomi Majcan and her fiancee John; sister Maikke Visser and her husband Melis; and her grandchildren, Amie-Lynn, Tiffany and her husband Robin, and Michael. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many friends and her extended family of Christian "Brothers and Sisters". As a Jehovahs Witness, Meta devoted herself to spreading Bible knowledge about Gods purpose for mankind. Her faith in and love for Jehovah, filled her with strength and hope for a resurrection, to a future where pain, suffering and death will be no more. Those who knew her will never forget her faith, strength, and determination. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit as well as her Home Care workers. They provided amazing care and compassion at a difficult time. The family also wishes to especially acknowledge the many close friends of Meta who were there for her throughout her illness. To remember Mrs. Meta Bodner, a memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the East St. Paul Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 3760 Andrews Rd., Birds Hill, MB with Mr. Thomas Didur officiating.
