Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MURDINA DUDENHOFFER (nee MacIVER) On Sunday, May 2, 2004, with family by her side, Mom passed away at Riverview Health Centre. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Stan and daughters, Beth and Erin; her sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Bill Thorne; her nephews and nieces, Tim (Gro), Nancy (Ron), David (Sue), Laura (Warren) her great-nieces and nephews, Jesse, Chris, Chris, Sarah, Camilla, Michael, Matthew, Amy, Leah, and other members of her extended family. Mary was predeceased by her father Angus in 1957; mother Christina in 1971; sister Christabelle in 1975 and brother Donald in 1995. Mom was born on February 25, 1941. She attended Somerset, Gladstone and Earl Grey schools, graduating from Kelvin High School in 1958. Mary began working at Canada Packers in 1959 where she formed close and lasting friendships with Denise, Diane and Sandy. While there, she was involved in the bowling league and other social activities. It was also where she met Stan. They were married in March of 1976 and Mary left work that July to start a family. Mom was a devoted wife and mother. She was involved in many of our activities from working in the school library to helping out on field trips. Mary was an active member of Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, serving on many committees, teaching Sunday School and always busy helping the teas, bazaars, and garage sales run smoothly. Mom especially enjoyed getting together with the ladies of her U.C.W. circle. Summers were spent at the family cottage in Sandy Hook where Mom took great pleasure gardening, reading by the lake, walking with Dusty, doing crosswords on the deck, and entertaining friends and relatives. Although the past year has been a difficult one, Mom faced each new challenge with courage, dignity and a positive attitude. We would like to thank the Oncology Dept. at the Victoria Hospital and the exceptional staff at Riverview 3-East, who all helped to make Moms stay as comfortable as possible. We all appreciated your kindness. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7 at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of choice. The sun will rise tomorrow, but will never shine as bright. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
