PAUL LETWIN July 20, 1937 - May 2, 2004 After a short battle with cancer, Paul passed away in Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 66 years. Paul will be loving missed by his wife Audrey of 43 years, his son Darren and his only grandchild, Kurtis Daniel. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, June Holmes (California), Richard (Rose), Winnie Baker (Larry), Helen Palka (Jerry), Lawrence (Betty) and Clarence (Marcella) Pauls in-laws and many nieces and nephews will also miss him immensely. Paul was predeceased by his mother Anne, father John, sister Marie Hrechkosy and nephew Allan. Paul was born on July 20, 1937 in the small town of Thalberg, MB. He attended Thalberg School, then received his certificate of qualification for the trade of Motor Vehicle Mechanic from MIT in Winnipeg. Paul started his career at Pine Motors in Beausejour, MB and moved on to Eastern Sales. In 1960, he married his loving wife, Audrey from Ladywood, MB. They lived in Winnipeg and were blessed with their only child, Darren on January 10, 1974. Paul spent the last four years happily retired after 40 years as a mechanic with Eastern Chrysler. He loved spending time at Gull Lake with his friends and family. Paul was blessed with "grandfatherhood" on April 8, 2002 when his second greatest gift, Kurtis Daniel Letwin was born. Grandpa dedicated as much time as he could to be with his grandson. He had sparkle in his eyes when his "Kurtis" was near by. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who helped Paul through his illness. A special thanks to all of Pauls friends and family for their compassion and support. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thalberg. Interment will follow in Thalberg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen Letwin, James Letwin, Dan Letwin, Kevin Hrechkosy, Jim Baker and Ron Weselak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauls memory to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
