Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOT SIMMONS April 20, 1930 - May 1, 2004 It is with greatest sorrow that the family of Dot Simmons announces her passing on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She is survived by her brothers, Bill of British Columbia and David of Alberta; sisters, Effie, Lorraine and Alice of British Columbia, Colleen and Francie of Winnipeg, MB, along with their spouses; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; as well as lifelong friends, Eva, Vicki and Fran. At a young age, Dot won some money and took a cruise to Hawaii. She loved it so much she accepted a transfer with her career employed at the bank. She resided in Waikiki for over 30 years and then returned to Winnipeg for retirement. Dot had old fashioned values and always a lady in every way. She enjoyed the finer things in life, dining and dancing. Dot admired antiques and was very fond of animals. She had a special love for Murphy, her nieces dog that she doted over and treated like a person. In compliance with Dots wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dots memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. "She will always be loved and always remembered as "Aunt Dot". WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
