OLGA USKIW Peacefully, after a brief illness, Olga Uskiw, aged 69 years, of East Selkirk, MB, beloved wife of Sam Uskiw, passed away on May 2, 2004 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Olga is survived by her husband of 40 years, Sam; her parents, Thomas and Katherine Schurko; brother Orville (Eva) Schurko; her children, Janet Klassen (Ken), Rose Snyder, Roger Bilyk (June), Barry Uskiw (Cyndy) and Tammy Uskiw; grandchildren, Tara (Troy), Michael, Brennen, Larissa, Bryce, Cameron, Brittany, Breanna, Austin, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Trent and Mackenzie; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Church, 6088 PTH 9A, just south of Selkirk with Pastors, David Saude and Jon Coutts officiating. Cremation to follow. Her grandchildren will be her pallbearers. Thanks to Dr. Anozie, the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit, to Pastor Jon Coutts for the care and support during her brief stay at the hospital, and to Pastor David Saude. Special thanks to Olgas best friend, Lucy, and the many family members and friends who provided moral support. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation may be made in Olgas memory to a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
