MARGARET BONNETT It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Margaret Anne Bonnett, aged 58 years, on April 30, 2004 at the Thompson General Hospital. Funeral Services will be held in Thompson on Thursday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Johns United Church, 52 Caribou Road, with Rev. Leslie King officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremains will take place in the Ridgeway Cemetery in Rorketon, MB at a later date. Margaret was born to Andrew and Anne Millar in Fork River, MB on February 1, 1946. She attended elementary school in Fork River and graduated from the Winnipegois Collegiate. Margaret moved to Winnipeg where she worked for Canada Post before moving to Thompson. In 1966 she and Charles were married and together they raised their son. In 1981 Margaret started working for the Mystery Lake School Division where she continued working until she became ill in 2003. Margarets true love was her grandchildren, Devon and Ashley, whom she cherished very much. Her favourite event in later life was the Relay for Life in Thompson and even though she was very ill she insisted on participating in the final event. Margaret was not an outdoor person but she loved camping at the lake. Margaret will be sadly missed by her husband Charles; son Darren (Brenda) grandchildren, Devon and Ashley; brothers, Roy (Helen), Paul, Richard (Rita), Wilfred (Monika) Millar and sister Emily Cann all of Winnipeg; father-in-law Gordon Bonnett; brothers-in-law, Barry, Bob (Elaine), Dennis (Susan), Keith (Geraldine) Bonnett all of Rorketon, Marten (Gayle) of Grand Prairie, AB and Rick (Pat) of Thompson; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Danny) Dumas of Waterhen and Edith (Fred) Taylor of Rorketon. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Annie Millar; sisters, Eva Soloway and Renna Desjarlais; mother-in-law Margaret Bonnett; step mother-in-law Gerti Bonnett; brothers-in-law, Ken Bonnett, Harold Cann and Andy Soloway. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations can be made to the Thompson Relay for Life or a charity of your choice.
