Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH SOROKA Mr. Joseph Soroka, aged 77 years of Lac du Bonnet, MB, beloved husband of Olga passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2004 at his residence. He will be sadly missed by his wife Olga; his son Gary (Kris) his daughter Ellen; his grandchildren, James, Ken (Sandy), Jeff (Kim), Kelly (Tim), Erin (Peter), Joel (Tamara) and Megan; his great-grandchildren, Payton, Sloane and Jenna; his sisters, Martha (Walter), Olga, Annie (George) sisters-in-law, Stella and Polly; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ted, Steve, Nick, Emil and Mike; his sisters, Mary, Tina, Stephany and Millie; and his parents Alec and Anna Soroka. Joe was born in Brightstone, MB, on October 23, 1926. He grew up on the family farm off Highway 317. He married Olga in 1949 and they moved to Noranda, PQ returning to Lac du Bonnet to raise their family. Throughout his life he worked in the mining and construction industries. Upon retirement he enjoyed happy times with his family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E., Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Interment will follow in the Brightstone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Josephs memory, may be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home.
