WINNONA P. SRIGLEY (ST. JOHN, SMITH) Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years on Sunday, May 2, 2004, at the Charleswood Care Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Winnona was born in Winnipeg, September 6, 1911, and spent her growing up years on her parents farm in Dominion City. She was the manager of Civic Employees Credit Union in Winnipeg from the late 1940s until 1961, many members knowing her as Winnona Smith. After living in California and Vancouver for many years, she returned to her roots in Winnipeg. She was a wonderful mother and friend who enjoyed sewing, gardening, music and crafts. Winnona was predeceased by her sister Lillian Dorway. Surviving is her only daughter Beverley Couls (Jim) of Grand Blanc, MI, USA, and special friends, Clyde, Joni, Scotty, Ray and Mel Williams. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held on Thursday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Flowers are gratefully declined.
